The Palm Beach Horses
In May 2021, ROAR was called in to rescue a herd of approximately 53 starving horses that were seized by the government.

We did everything we could with our volunteers & our amazing supporters – it cost $4000/mo to buy hay & pellets, and countless man-hours cutting & delivering fresh grass from the side of the road.

15 horses died in that first year, and 5 more were euthanized for contagious EIA. In March 2022, Gone Away Farms International & horse enthusiasts from Honduras joined ROAR to get these horses healthy & figure a way to find suitable homes.

In September 2022, the remaining 36 horses were transferred to 2 locations on Roatan & the rest went on an adventure by ferry to the mainland where they will live full, happy lives!
