Thanks to Island Academy for believing in our vision and inviting us to share our work with their young students.

Creating change in how people view animals starts with education, and change starts with the future generation of Roatan’s residents. Thanks to Island Academy for believing in our vision and inviting us to share our work with their young students.

We met with multiple classes and shared important information on the needs our 4-legged friends have (same as us - Food, Water, Shelter, Medical Care & LOVE). We brought along some super well-behaved ambassadors, Bodhi & Navi, to spread the love and engage with the children. Not surprisingly, there were many great questions from the kids and lots of excitement!

In addition to time with their furry new friends, the kids learned about proper animal care, grooming, received a coloring book reinforcing the message, and learned how to identify changes in behavior (indicating possible sickness) in a cat or dog.

These bright and empathetic youngsters hold the key to improving conditions for our island animals! If you have a group or organization that would benefit from this presentation reach out to ROAR and let’s talk!

Many thanks to Layle Stanton, Island Academy of Roatan, and, of course, Bodhi & Navi!
